A unique international collaboration featuring Dutch pianist Mike del Ferro – a world-renowned jazz artist, Cuban bassist and New York-based lecturer Yunior Terry, and Australian drummer Al Kerr, Director of Panorama Brasil.
Bringing these artists together for the first time, this special collaboration presents a unique encounter where jazz tradition and innovation meet through improvisation. The trio explores a wide musical landscape through original compositions and improvisation, ranging from opera to jazz standards, infused with the energy of the New York sound and the sophistication of Brazi- lian and Latin harmonic and rhythmic traditions.

A Jubilation of Sounds draws inspiration from a 16th-century idea of music as a remedy for the soul, celebrating the joy and vitality of sound. Bridging the worlds of Baroque and Jazz, this pro- gram explores their shared spirit of improvisation, expressive freedom, and artistic innovation.
Through a refined blend of acoustic instruments and sound art, Mirko Guerrini, Steve Magnus- son, and Ilaria Crociani reimagine celebrated arias by Claudio Monteverdi, Alessandro Scarlatti, Giacomo Carissimi, and Barbara Strozzi, infused with the spontaneity and creativity of improvisa- tion.
A vibrant encounter between past and present, where tradition meets innovation in a truly ex- pressive musical dialogue.

Danilo Rojas Trio feat: Onur Puza
A contemporary jazz journey from the heart of South America, where traditional Latin American rhythms are reimagined through an experimental jazz lens. Performed by a piano trio, this project features a special collaboration with Turkish jazz guitarist Onur Puza, creating a unique cross-cultural dialogue and expanding the music through a distinct artistic identity.
The ensemble includes expert percussionist Salvador Persico, whose deep knowledge of Afro-Cuban and Latin traditions enriches the rhythmic language, and Argentine bassist Pablo Guzzo, bringing a strong connection to South American musical roots and contemporary jazz expression.

Williamstown International Jazz Festival presents internationally curated jazz concerts as part of its Winter Series in Melbourne, set in an intimate environment where music becomes conversation and time dissolves into sound.
